This is the BEST description of why we need zero waste through Extended Producer Responsibility [EPR]. Through a deposit system we'll be encouraged to send our non-compostable items back and the manufacturer/importer will have to pay for the tip fee or redesign waste out of their product thereby creating relocalised jobs in a service rather than sales industry: save money, help people and save the planet!
